The best way to escape the winter cools is to take a winter break on the cruise. It’s very popular in the cold eastern and Midwest regions. Any one would welcome the change of climate, i.e. from a knee-deep snow to drenched sandy beaches and in between arm waters.

Most of the cruise will take you to destinations where your heart takes you such as the Hawaii, the Orient, Mexico and the Caribbean, with the Caribbean being the most popular in winter. If you are interested in a long weekend, then the Caribbean’s is a good option as it is so close. An ideal spot for a Friday to Monday weekend trip.

If your main intention was a long lay back cruising then U.S.V.I., is the best option. You could spend the day snorkeling or visiting historic districts or for some shopping. But the option of lazing around in the beach is the best option.

Winter cruise are cheap during the off seasons. This season starts from September to December. This is mostly because this is the hurricane season. Many people actually fear that they might be caught in one of these terrifying storms. But the ship usually alters its itinerary at the first hint of any severe storm warning. They either change course or stay ashore.

If your dying to travel for a little longer than usual then try one of the 10 or 11 nights itinerary to the Caribbean’s. You may have to travel through the Panama Canal transit for this short trip. The older ships or the senior ships usually prefer the exotic location for their voyage destination. But in case you want to take the advantage of the good luxurious big ships! They offer an out of the world experience such as the spa facilities and high category staterooms. You could possibly upgrade your suite to a fantastic ocean view room. This is a perfect way to wish your winter blues bye bye!
